Probably. Scale bk?: The low heart rate is probably caused by the dose of Toprol (metoprolol) XL. Ask your doctor (who prescribed Toprol (metoprolol)) about lowering the dose or alternatives that can lower your BP without dropping heart rate. In any case, many people take low or moderate doses of SSRIs like Zoloft along with Toprol (metoprolol) XL & do not have any problems. But ask your doctor in any case. Good luck, thanks for asking HealthTap!
