Just brief symptoms?: Many women have occasional variation of their menstrual symptoms, their mucus discharge, some spotting between periods, a heavier period, a lighter period, or even a missed period. Briefly having one or two of these symptoms doesn’t necessarily mean there is a medical problem, but a visit to one’s primary care or ob-gyn doctor is a good idea if symptoms are persistent, recurring, or worrisome.

May be abnormal: Do you mean you ended your period 2 days ago? And now cramping, or are you having cramping on day 3? You should write down your symptoms and discuss with your doctor. Many possible causes of more cramping than usual, from infections, stds, to fibroids or pregnancy, or polyps or other causes.
