Impossible to say: I don't know what you mean by "convulsing uncontrollably." If you were having lots of muscle movements, AND you were CONSCIOUS of it, that is not a seizure. Most alcohol withdrawal seizures occur within 12-48 hours of discontinuing alcohol, and it sounds like yours was sooner than that. You clearly have a problem with alcohol and you need to get some counseling to moderate or stop its use.
