What can i expect when a person is taken to the hospital when they have a drug/alcohol induced seizure?

Drug/alcohol related: ...Seizures are more likely to result in death than natural seizures. The brain is more likely to be starved for air even before the seizure starts, and stopped breathing is more common.

Depends: On whether you are that person. If this is a friend or loved one, generally blood tests will be done, and if it is a first seizure, often a ct scan and/or an electroencephalogram (eeg) will be done. If the eeg is not done initially, it should be done within a few days to a week, and should include a visit with a neurologist. Medications may be used, although if alcohol/drug related may not.
