What can i take for a cold while nursing a 4 month old?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Nursing mom, cold: Most drugs are not studied in pregnant and nursing mothers. Some obstetricians will suggest phenylephrine and guiafenesin as safe while pregnant and nursing. Nasal sprays (except Afrin), acetaminophen, lemon/honey tea and humidifiers are safe options.
