Careful cardiac exam: What you describe CAN be perfectly normal but to be sure please take your son to the pediatrician and point the veins out. If he were my patient I would be performing a thorough cardiac exam and possibly ordering an echocardiogram to look for any condition that might be causing pulmonary hypertension
