Semi-deep?: If your wound is gaping open or profusely bleeding you may require sutures to close it. No matter what you must clean the wound carefully with soap and water after applying direct pressure for at least 10 minutes. I suggest the need for observation by your physician or urgent care center. You may need a tetanus booster and antibiotics, depending on the depth of the wound and last tetanus shot.
