I've noticed since i started running that there's an area on one of my lower legs that's been tingling. could this be from tight muscles?

See Sports Med Dr.: Tingling in one of the legs while running is fairly common. It may be associated with a diagnosis called exertional compartment syndrome where the pressure builds up in the compartments of the calf and leads to tingling or numbness in the shin or foot. I would recommend seeing a sports medicine physician to be evaluated.
