Yes, it can!: Morphine is a strong narcotic pain medication that can make you very drowsy, especially if you've never taken any before. Additionally, if your kidney function is slower than normal, the effects of morphine can be prolonged. Please don't drive or perform tasks that require attention and concentration until the effects wear off. Hope that helps!
