Check urine again: Hi Haley, If the urine infection has not cleared after 4 antibiotics, something else is probably going on. Get a urinalysis with microscopic exam and if possible a urine culture to make sure it is gone. If it is, the odor could be caused by food, medicines, etc. Wait a few days to see if it clears on it's own, then ask a medical professional to check the odor. Dr. Long

Urine odor: Urine odor is nondiagnostic. Urinalysis with microscopic examination and urine culture is needed to diagnose abnormalities. If these tests are normal, I pay no intention to urine odor. Consult a urologist if you continue to have other urinary symptoms, however.
