A member asked:

Does chronic abdominal pain, new constipation, rectal bleeding (4 times in 3 months, bright red blood) and tiredness mean it's probably cancer? i'm 27

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Need to examine: Bleeding in stool warrants an examination. It may be as simple as hemorrhoids, but you owe it to yourself to get checked out. Take fiber laxative like Metamucil and drink enough water daily so that your urine is colorless. It is very unlikely that you have cancer. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex.
