No See Your Dentist : If the tooth hasn't calmed down after a week or the pain is worse in spite of the pills, you should see the dentist

Pain: Pain typically goes away quickly after pulp all debridement bless there is an infection. Contact your dentist or endodontist about your pain. You may need to have the tooth opened to relieve the pressure and an antibiotic for an infection.

Duration of pain: Generally speaking the majority of pain is gone within a day, two at most. If an infection is present, it becomes more problematic to get relief and antibiotics will hasten the lessening of the pain. However, patients have different pain thresholds and react differently to different pain medications. The best thing to do is to discuss this with your own dentist who will know best what to do next.
