Check with GI: If you take it for pain control for another reason then it will not be a problem. Aspirin and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (Ibuprofen and Naproxen for example) in standard doses may be continued safely in patients having colonoscopy, including in those who require polyp removal. You should still check with your GI for his or her preference with regards to these meds.

Constipation: opioids can make you constipated - possibly messing with your prep the day before and not getting you cleaned out enough. shouldn't happen from one pill, though. NSAIDs (ibuprofen) increase bleeding risk. no prob with a diagnostic procedure (just looking) - but if anything needs to be removed (like a polyp) or biopsied, it will increase the bleeding potential. Tylenol (acetaminophen) is safe to take.
