Need more info: You don't mention which Herpes virus you were exposed to and what the exposure was. The high IgG titer may be correct.Many adults have IgG antibodies to Herpes simplex virus type 1, with or without overt infection. Most, but not all, genital infections are due to Herpes simplex type 2. However, type 1 can cause genital infections as well.
