Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim): 8-12mg trimethaprim/kg oraly divided in 2 doses for children greater than 28 days if allergy to sulfa then clindamycin 40mg/kg divided in 3-4 doses the duration of treatment depends on the site if less than28days admission and treatment specially if invasive atleast 4 weeks if endocarditis,osteomylitis,cns infection other oral treatmentis Doxycyclin iless than 45 kg-4mg/kg/day divided in 2 doses
