Treating trichomonas: Symptoms of trichomoniasis (usually vaginal discharge, often with strong odor) should start to improve in a couple of days, up to a week to be gone entirely. You need to finish all of the drug, typically 5-7 days. Your sex partner(s) must be treated or you are likely to be reinfected. Also be sure you were tested for gonorrhea and chlamydia, which often accompany trichomonas.
