Streptococcal: bacteria can cause sinus infections as well as strep throat. Sinus infections, however, may be harder to clear up. The medication you're taking isn't CAUSING your sinus pain. However, it's possible that it's not effective for what I'm PRESUMING is a sinus infection. In any case, if you're getting worse, not better, I advise follow up with your doctor. Dr. Anne.
