I take 10mg lexapro (escitalopram) in am (for 1 yr), and very recently (5 days in) 5mg endep in pm - but experiencing side effects and i'm only on initial half dose.

Endep (amitriptyline) side effects: Why is Endep being added to your Lexapro (escitalopram) dose? Be sure you understand the reason. Both meds are antidepressants. Although Endep 5 mg is a very low dose, discuss side effects you're having with prescribing doctor. Endep (amitriptyline) is an older antidepressant which tends to have more side effects, eg, lightheadedness, dry mouth. If side effects persist, this may not be the best med for you.
