A member asked:

Is it ok to take lexapro (escitalopram) and endep together at the same time?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Both of these medications are antidepressants. Endep (amitriptyline) is a tricyclic antidepressant. Lexapro (escitalopram) is an ssri. These have different mechanisms of action. They can be used safely together.
