Drink plenty: Typically this study is done by drinking barium contrast which may cause constipation, so drink plenty and you may need a laxative for a day or two. If the study was done by drinking gastrografin contrast, this could be the cause of your symptoms. As you are now hours past first drinking, this isn't an "allergy" (which can exist to the iodine in gastrografin), however you may have a sensitivity.
