What causes granular mucosa rectum?

Previous: inflammation or infection can result in the term "granular" which is used to describe the mucosa (lining) of the bowel as seen by the endoscopist. It is a "NON-SPECIFIC" (Non DIAGNOSTIC) term! Hope this helps! Dr Z
