Probably varicocele: Hi Erik, What you are describing sounds like a varicocele, which consists of dilated veins on the left side of the scrotum. They are often harmless but they can be uncomfortable, can gradually enlarge, and can cause a decreased sperm count. I suggest having a sperm count ordered by your doctor or a Urologist. If this is abnormal, or if there are other problems, consult a Urologist for treatment.
