Depends on the depth: You specifically stated MINOR abrasions so I would guess they could be left alone. Obviously, seeing the extend of abrasion would make this answer easier. My guidelines are based upon the depth of the abrasion and if sensitivity is present. Consult with your treating dentist and discuss it with him or her.
