Vegan diet best: A creatinine of 2.6 likely represents moderate chronic kidney disease if it has been elevated for at least 3 months. However the GFR is a more accurate measurement. Medications can affect kidney function. The only diet shown to stop progression of kidney disease is a vegan diet.
