A member asked:

After stop taking flecainide 2 days ago for pvcs my average heart rate went from avg 55-60 to now 80-90. should i be concerned?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Check with cardiolog: Flecainide is very specific medication for heart rate control. If you have condition which causing PVC or other tachycardia it may be necessary to stay on it. Heart rate 80-90 is not dangerous in short time but is higher than ideal . Exercise under supervision can help too , avoid any stimulants ( caffein ..) Recommend revisit cardiologist for consult.
