If the "complete: miscarriage noted" opinion is based on an ultrasound and/or visual exam only, it's POSSIBLE that some fragment of placental tissue still remains. A quantitative pregnancy test may be needed. If HCG in any quality is present, further evaluation may be needed. Please speak with your OB/Gyn about this legitimate concern. Best wishes. Dr. Anne.
