Two thoughts...: My first thought for the redness would be post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, which is quite common after an inflammatory condition like this. However, this should not hurt. My second thought would be an infection in the area (bacterial cellulitis), and my third thought would be a dermatitis related to the use of that liquid. You may want to revisit the prescribing doctor for local eval.

This is normal: Unfortunately, this is how that cream works. It basically chemically burns away the warts, and your tender normal skin get affected as well. Keep the area clean and try not to itch or pick at it, and it should begin to heal up without any problem in another few days. See your doctor if any severe swelling, fever, pus-like drainage, severe pain.
