Visit needed: When having severe throat pain, I always consider strep throat as a possible cause. You may want to go to a walk-in clinic and be seen by a nurse practitioner or a family physician if you're able to. They can make a rapid diagnosis and if you need antibiotics provide you with a new prescription.
