Inhaled a piece of a: You need to have a chest x-ray to make sure you don't have aspiration pneumonia.

No: As long as you remember that you aspirated a piece of apple i believe that you can wait longer to see if the cough stops as your system takes care of the foreign body that is there. If your symptoms worsen then you can get it evaluated.

See pulmonologist: I would be evaluated. If you have a foreign body in your airway, it can cause infection, scarring or worse, airway obstruction.
