When i cough sometimes it feels like my adams apple or something pops back and forth. however, this only happens when i cough looking down. if i cough when looking down, feels like my adam apple pops out and back in. what is going on?

Anatomy: Your Adams apple is the palpable part of your thyroid cartilage. This is connected to you hyoid bone and the muscles of your lower pharynx. When you move your neck the muscles change the location of your structures and this makes the Adams apple more prominent.
