Sampling of trich: Well trich can be 'tricky' if I can make such a pun. The issue could be with the quality of the testing... so if your male partner is testing negative, it might be that either a) he didn't have it or b) the sample collected was not sufficient. It could also be that in your case c) perhaps it wasn't trich. I've seen that on rare occasions. Best thing to do is talk to your doc- maybe a couples visit

Because men usually : aren’t symptomatic they usually don’t find out they are infected until their partner is symptomatic & is tested. Only about 30 % of cases are symptomatic. When tested via a urine sample – it should be a 1st void sample – the first 20 to 30 mm of urine of initial stream should be used. The person should not have urinated for at least an hour prior. Most STD screens don’t include Trichomoniasis.
