16 weeks prego. im progesterone 2x weekly. today shot in buttocks and had time injecting med. scar tissue or too deep? never happened before. absorption

Absorption ok: At 16 wks along in a pregnancy, you are, i presume, taking the Progesterone to prevent preterm delivery (the other reason to take Progesterone is to maintain an early pregnancy and this usually entails taking the Progesterone until 12 wks or so). Regardless, a twice weekly dosing depending upon where you inject it (assuming it is not given directly into the vein) will have appropriate absorption.
