Implantation: Midcycle spotting is common but more likely from ovulation than implantation. Implantation occurs exclusively in pregnant people. You can check a test if you miss your period. If negative then the bleeding is not implantation bleeding. Progesterone may regulate the cycle but does not promote ovulation or assist in fertility.
