There are: no evidence based studies which show that stress can trigger attacks of pseudogout ..or for that matter regular gout. Both are arthritic conditions the former due to the deposition of calcium crystals in the joints the latter uric acid crystals... There are some reports of extreme temperature triggering both types as well as other "traumatic" events! Hope this helps Dr Z
