Overeaters Anonymous: Overeaters anonymous (oa) is a 12 step group designed to help people who overeat for various reasons. It's free, and there are meetings in most communities. http://www.oa.org/ the group works on developing other ways of handling life stresses than overeating -- changing your relationship with food. You can also see a psychologist for cognitive behavioral therapy. It is very effective.

Seek help.: A history of depression or other mental illness could lead to overeating secondarily. With adequate treatment, your overeating could stop. Otherwise, adding fiber to your diet will curb your appetite and reduce the tendency to overeat.
