Too soon to tell: The HIV epidemic started in the 1980's, so it will be the 2030's before the epidemic is 50 years old. Hopefully, there will be an effective vaccine or cure before then. Meanwhile, HIV is easily preventable because it is a virus that does not fly through the air and get you, nor does it sit on doorknobs waiting to jump on your hand. People usually have to do certain activities in order to get HIV.
