Zoster: The rash may have been herpes zoster. Was the rash fluid filled vesicles grouped together? Painful? Studies show that post herpetic neuralgia can linger for months. Get evaluated and if this possibility is correct there are treatments for post herpetic neuralgia including Lyrica (pregabalin) and Gabapentin. Good luck.
