SVE: Typically, 'SVE' stands for supraventricular ectopic beat. This means the extra beat originates above the ventricles. 'PAC' usually stands for premature atrial contraction, which is a specific type of SVE. Usually SVE's are PAC's, but sometimes it's difficult to tell for sure.
