A member asked:

Does chronic benign neutrophenia in children go away on its own after age 3 or so ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

After several years: It is reported that the majority of children with chronic benign neutropenia recover within a few years. The cause is thought to be an autoimmune problem, as many individuals with CBN have positive antineutrophil antibodies, which may have resulted from a previous viral or other infection.
