A member asked:

I have a posterior placenta reaching the internal os at 32 weeks. what chance is there of it moving sufficiently by term to allow a natural birth?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Slim chance: Most placentas migrate upwards with uterine growth between weeks 20 and 30 of pregnancy. Moreover, at 32 weeks, any premature contractions are likely to expose the placental edge that is now present at the cervical os. If there is any bleeding whatsoever, please contact your OB MD immediately.
