There is a lot: of support for including generous water intake in a weight loss diet. Ingesting water temporarily increases your energy expenditure burning more calories. Drinking water before meals suppresses one's appetite, especially for middle aged/older folks. Drinking water (zero calories) means you're NOT drinking higher calorie drinks. How much: up to 2 liters. Not much more...can be toxic. Good luck!
