Trazodone: Trazodone is an antidepressant of the serotonin antagonist and reuptake inhibitor (SARI) class. It is a phenylpiperazine compound. It has been used often Off-Label as a sleep aide. Because of the nature and class of the drug, it truly should be weaned down as opposed to simply stopping it. This could be something you could easily discuss with your Prescribing Doctor depending on your specifics.
