Can still be ur disc: your lower back is hurting because of your bulging disc, if it was your lumbar. Elevated Lipase level can be due to pancreatitis mainly, and the doctor who ordered would interpret the result in the context of the whole clinical picture, you would be much sicker if it was a severe pancreatitis or other GI tract disease. Lie on your back, warm compresses and pain killers, if no improvement c ur MD
