See a doctor: It is a well know.fact that women can present more often than men with "atypical" symptoms when it comes to their heart, so in my opinion this needs to be looked into a little more with some sort of stress test. Ex-smokers often accumulate an excess of mucous in their bronchi which may have been responsible for your symptoms. Esophageal spasm or GERD also may have been the cause. Also, anxiety.
