Drying, irritating: Epiduo can be effective but irritating and very expensive. Over $300 for 1 tube! Both benzoyl peroxide and adapalene are much less costly if used separately. Even cheaper if tretinoin instead of adapalene with similar result. Benzoyl peroxide is drying. Adapalene is especially irritating during first few weeks, so it is often started at just 2 or 3 times a week. The skin tolerates it better after
