My wife is 15 weeks pregnant and experienced a clump of mucus like discharge that looked clear with a dark brown or grey area in it. is this normal?

Pregnancy: The body experiences a lot of changes with pregnancy. She should contact her physician ASAP for regular contractions, vaginal bleeding, water breaking, and decreased fetal movement. However, the mucus does not seem bloody and that is reassuring. If the mucus is associated with vaginal itching/burning, then she needs to see a physician. If she has urinary symptoms then she should see a physicians.
