You don't mention: what you are treating with this medication....the antibiotic azithromycin. Azithromycin effectively treats a number of conditions including respiratory and sinus infections, skin problems and sexually-transmitted infections. I am not aware of any recommended dosage of 500 mg twice a day. Insomnia is reported as a "less serious" side effect of this drug. Take, at most, one a day. Good wishes:)
