Self harm: Can produce infection, hit an artery and cause you to bleed out, is a symptom that suggests something even more disturbing needs to be treated, causes social problems, etc. Plese know that your resistance to the ideas that self harm needs treatment is part of the condition. Peace to you and those who care about you.

Agree w Dr. Seif: Besides all of the possible medical complications from self - harming behaviors, it does nothing to solve underlying problems. Self- harm may provide momentary distraction or relief but does nothing to fix what is broken inside.
