No: I'm assuming that your asking with normal doses and not overdosing. But in general patients adapt to side effects or they go away completely when the med is stopped.

Very few: Abilify (aripiprazole) is a medication indicated for treatment of major psychiatric conditions. The information sheet from the pharmacy should indicate the major potential side effects. It may affect the heart and brain in a rare patient leading to mi or stroke. These may be permanent, but almost everything else is related to the presence of the drug in the body, so clears if the med is reduced or stopped.

Mostly not: Most side effects from Abilify (aripiprazole) reverse when the medication is stopped. There are some side effects (dyskinesias) rarer with Abilify than with older major tranquilizers that may be very hard or take a long time to reverse. This is more common in older people who have been on high doses for a long time.
