I have a gastric stimulator with "migrating" leads. what will happen if the leads pierce through my stomach wall? surgeon has a "wait & see" attitude.

Migrating leads: i am not a surgeon but There are number of questions ,is it still functioning properly? Where is the location now ( can detect on xray and also see if there is perforation).
